Demand for launch is increasing, and the supply of launch sites is not sufficient.

We are developing the Australian Space Super Corridor (ASSC) enabling a network of launch sites to serve the growing demand of commercial access to space from Western Australia.

Launch facilities that would be made available to third-party rocket manufacturers who would be responsible for securing their own payloads. Incentives for launch vehicle operators using the facilities to establish either a final assembly and testing facility, or a full launch vehicle manufacturing facility in the State. This will significantly increase the economic benefits from the launch facilities on the Western Australian economy.

Launch as a Service (LaaS)

A ‘centre of excellence’ attracting both local and international rocket and satellite manufacturers to Western Australia. This will create more specialised advanced technology related capabilities in Australia and supporting regional space activities united by the Indian Ocean.

Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics

These facilities will attract a new arm of tourism to the region. Space related infrastructure and events can become significant tourist attractions for enthusiasts, families, student, or tourist groups. Once the site is established the public will be able to observe launches and visit the facilities.

The presence of space ecosystem may allow Australian university students to pursue multiple space-related projects and therefore lead to increased number of spin-offs in Australia. This will serve to inspre the next generation of S.T.E.M students to take up careers in science and engineering.
